The HDK 2 is an open source virtual reality headset for the Open Source Virtual Reality (OSVR) platform. With virtual reality still in its early days, the HDK 2 was designed to be an affordable, modular solution for both enthusiasts and developers* allowing them to tinker and experiment with the technology without worrying about restrictions and legalities.   • Display: 2160 x 1200 dual display, RGB, 90 Hz, 110-degree FOV with IQE (image quality enhancement) film for reduced screen door effect.
  • Optics: Custom crafted two piece SLR grade optics for clear and vibrant images. Features individual eye focal adjusters supporting +4.5 to – 2 degrees.
  • Mainboard: Sensor hub with integrated accelerometer, gyroscope and compass with an external USB 3.0 connection for additional accessories. Re-programmable for additional functionality.
  • Faceplate: IR faceplate interfacing with an IR Camera (included in packaging) for 360 degree positional tracking operating at 100 Hz.
  • Mechanical Module: Bamboo charcoal facemask (removable) and rubber nose insert for comfort.
  • Belt Box Module: Comes with a belt box that includes a surround sound audio codec and additional USB 3.0 connectivity. Also helps with cable management.
